St Mary’s is delighted to host a concert by the Ivor Novello award winning early music and folk ensemble Mediaeval Baebes. This female-led ensemble will be performing Christmas carols, traditional folksongs and pieces from their new MydWynter album, accompanied by exotic and period instruments. This spirited show of beguiling choral music will also include innovative settings of ancient and romantic poetry, along with captivating storytelling that uncovers the origins and folklore behind the lyrics.

Horsham Music Circle Concert – A celebration for Ralph Vaughan Williams’ 150th Anniversary Year – Saturday 22nd October, 7.30 pm

Horsham Music Circle’s concert, A celebration for RVW150, includes works by: Ralph Vaughan Williams, his pupils Ivor Gurney and Gordon Jacob, and his friend Gustav Holst. The programme features music for choir and organ, solo songs and a string quintet. The works will be performed by: Parish Church Choir, conducted by Jeremy Weaver, the Sussex Chamber Players, led by Anna Giddey, Edward Dean – organ, Zoe Eborn violin, Ian Gardner – baritone, Jill Elsworthy – soprano and Joe Giddey – cello.
