Traditional Services every Sunday
These are popular traditional services held at St. Mary’s every week –
A quiet early morning service of Holy Communion at 8.00am
On 2nd Sundays at 5.00pm (Oct-Mar) or 6.30pm (Apr-Sept), evensong is a full “cathedral-style” Choral Evensong, at which we receive regular visitors from other local churches
A reflective service of Evensong with our Parish Choir is held on the 4th Sunday of each month at 5.00pm (Oct-Mar) or 6.30pm (Apr-Sept)
These services make for a peaceful and prayerful start to the week, and include a short sermon, and the much-loved liturgy of the Book of Common Prayer (1662)
In August, when the Choir are on holiday, please note that Evensong is often replaced by an informal Songs of Praise (or a more informal Cafe Church service).
