Traditional Services every Sunday

Please refer to the homepage for the current pattern of service times due to the restrictions in place in relation to COVID-19.

These are popular traditional services held at St. Mary’s every week –

A quiet early morning service of Holy Communion at 8.00am
On 1st Sundays at 6.30pm, evensong is typically a full “cathedral-style” Choral Evensong, at which we receive regular visitors from other local churches
A  reflective service of Evensong with our Parish Choir is held on the 3rd Sunday of each month at 6.30pm.
These services make for a peaceful and prayerful start to the week, and include a short sermon, and the much-loved liturgy of the Book of Common Prayer (1662)

In August, when the Choir are on holiday, please note that Evensong is sometimes replaced by an informal Summer Evening Service.
