Young People @ St Mary’s
We have a busy programme of youth activities, both at St Mary’s and working with other churches across the town. On Sunday mornings, our young people (year 6 and above) have their own group time called ‘The Core’, where they enjoy hot chocolate and snacks, as well as exploring faith together.
We have two Sunday evening youth events, ‘Cafe Connect‘, at Holy Trinity on the 2nd Sunday of each month, and ‘St Mary’s Youth‘ at St Mary’s on the 3rd Sunday of each month. These provide further opportunities for our young people to get to know one another, and grow in faith.

Every year we take about 30 young people to ‘May Camp‘, a diocesan youth festival. This is held at Plumpton Racecourse, and is a great opportunity for our young people to get to know other young Christians, and grow deeper in their faith. Members of St Mary’s offer support through making cakes, and cooking food to bring on site for us.

Each summer, some of our older young people go to ‘Satellites‘, a national Christian festival held at Shepton Mallet.
Our youth work provision is led by Lee Buck, who works across our parish and St John’s Broadbridge Heath.
